Part 4 - Baby Modeling: What To Expect At A Go See

A baby modeling career is riddled with one thing: challenge. There is nothing more rewarding then seeing so many other people fawning over just how cute your child is. For that reason, the work is well worth it. If you’ve signed onto a contract with a baby agency, the next task will be getting to go and see opportunities. When you are called by your agency about a “go and see” opportunity, this will be the audition that you’ve been waiting for.

A “go and see” is just that, an audition. IT is an opportunity for your child to be one of the many that will meet with the clients and will interact with them. Sometimes they will have an individual that will work with your child to keep them occupied and alert during the photos. Other times, it is up to mom or dad to do this type of work. In either case, it will be necessary to spend some time as well as lots of patience to get through this process.

A good agency and client will have set up enough things for your child to do. You may even have the ability to sit and chat with other moms that have their children auditioning with the client as well. Don’t be surprised if there are over one hundred or more babies there for a large contract. Its part of the process that baby modeling requires.

After the photos are complete and you and your child are on your way home, you’ll wait until you hear back from the client about the opportunity. In many cases, you won’t. The fact is there is that much competition out there and your child, no matter how perfect they are, is not going to fill the needs of every single client out there. But, getting the offer is a great feeling well worth the rejection.
